These terms of use govern the use of the website habitbuddy.ch and the HabitBuddy app by Salt Studios.

Scope
These terms of use apply to the website habitbuddy.ch and the HabitBuddy app by Salt Studios. For the app, you actively accept them in the app before first use; for the website, they apply when you use it. How we process personal data is described in the app privacy policy.
Account
You need an account to use the app. Your details must be accurate and you must keep your sign-in data secret. A username must not infringe the rights of third parties or be offensive. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Rights of use
Salt Studios grants you a simple, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for private, non-commercial purposes. The app is provided as a free beta version; individual features may be incomplete, may change or may be temporarily unavailable. There is no entitlement to availability or to any particular set of features.
Coins and virtual goods
In the app you earn coins for completed habits, rewards and social actions. Coins and items obtained with them (e.g. outfits for your buddy) are virtual goods with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred or sold. Salt Studios may change prices, rewards and the range of items or remove individual items. When your account is deleted, coins and items expire without compensation.
Advertising and premium
The free version of the app is funded by advertising. Premium users see no ads. Details about advertising and your choices are in the app privacy policy.
User obligations
You undertake not to misuse the website or the app, not to infringe the rights of third parties and to comply with applicable law. In particular, you will refrain from interfering with the technical infrastructure and from attempting to circumvent security measures.
Termination and account deletion
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app under “Me” → “Delete account” or by email to info@habitbuddy.ch. Salt Studios may suspend or delete an account that violates these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer of liability
The website and the app are provided with care but without warranty as to availability, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Salt Studios excludes liability for damages arising from use – in particular for slight negligence, loss of profit or loss of data. No liability is accepted for the content of external linked sites.
Changes to these terms
Salt Studios may amend these terms. For material changes you will be asked to accept again in the app; without acceptance you cannot continue to use the app, but you can delete your account at any time. The version published on the website applies.
Governing law & place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is, where legally permitted, Switzerland.
